International Personal Data Protection Association was founded to protect your personal data in accordance with Turkish Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698.
Personal data is any information that relates to an identifies or identifiable living individual. Such information, for instance, name, surname, birth place, birth date, national identity number, nationality, educational status, marital status, gender, photos, phone numbers, e-mails, home address, business address, photocopy of identity card, data obtained when communicating via electronic or physical means serve as examples.
In this period when personal data is very valuable and easily accessible, it is of utmost importance that this data is processed, protected, stored and not shared with third parties when not required, and finally destroyed when necessary. As such, our main objectives as the International Personal Data Protection Association are; to raise awareness of the right holders about the importance of personal data protection and how and for what purpose this data can be processed within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), to help develop mechanisms to ensure the protection of personal data effectively, to prevent the occurrence of material and moral damages and to eliminate these damages, in particular to prevent the occurrence of discrimination and grievances arising from sharing personal data with third parties and to assist the elimination of damages.

In line with the realization of these objectives our main services are; providing awareness trainings, organizing seminars and conferences, informing rights holder through different resources about the legislation on the protection of personal data, conducting the necessary investigations and contributing to the complaint process for data controllers who process personal data in violation of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, providing assistance in legal, administrative, scientific, technical subjects by assigning or arranging specialists and making necessary contracts. In this context, within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698, as the International Personal Data Protection Association we will protect your personal data and when necessary defend your rights with our defensive mechanism.
